Replacement Draw Bench Chain Measurement Checklist
Replacement identification is more reliable when the chain sample, installed geometry and sprocket are documented together. Clean the sample where practical and photograph a scale or dimension reference.
Chain Measurements
Capture pitch, widths, plate height, plate thickness, pin dimensions, end connection and total chain length. Note visible wear, damage and areas that may not represent the original dimension.
Sprocket Measurements
Record tooth count, face width, bore and mounting details. Include side and axial photographs and any available drawing.
Machine Information
Provide bench type, pull requirement, operating speed, duty cycle and environment. This information helps distinguish a geometric replacement from an engineering selection.
